Why Tutoring
Private tutoring gives you that extra little bit of support and guidance that could help a student not only gain knowledge and skills but could help with their social skills and confidence. We pride ourselves on that over the years we have helped so many build that confidence needed in the subject to succeed.
Experienced Practicing Professionals
The tutors here at AK Tutor Me are fully qualified, experienced teachers, who currently work in that field. Many have taught their specialist subject for many years, with exam marking experience, so able to guide students to what exam boards & examiners are looking for in their answers.
Unique Approach
Teaching methods are changed to cater for the needs of the student. What works for one doesn't necessarily work for others, we try to adapt our methods to ensure the student learning experience is a good one.
Private or Small Groups
We can offer face to face and online 1-2-1 or small group tuition (max 4). Online tuition has come a long way over the last few years and it is just like being in a classroom, sessions are still tailored to the students needs and the sessions are interactive.
We do offer a free taster session if unsure about online tuition.
Lesson durations
Sessions are normally 1 hour long but, depending on the students needs we can offer 45 minutes and longer sessions if needed and due to availability.
About Tutoring
Students will have a introductions session with the tutor (online or face to face) before any sessions takes place. An assessment might be necessary to establish the needs of the student in some subjects. A programme of study will be generated each term, but there is flexibility we always encourage our students to bring revision lists to sessions, if they have a exam/assessment at school coming up.
